UFA - König von Palma

For the TV series König von Palma, I was responsible for both FX and compositing on the key scene – the explosion of the 'Bieradler'. I simulated all major FX elements, including the pyro explosion, secondary fire, debris, rigid bodies and sparks. I also handled the entire compositing process – from CG replacement of the building and ground to the integration of all FX layers, roto/keying and look development. Additional stock footage overlays were used to enhance realism. Particular attention was given to replicating how the camera lens reacts to overexposure. Handling both FX and compositing resulted in a cohesive look and precise control over whether aspects should be solved in FX or compositing. The goal was to create a visually complex night-time explosion, which marks the climax of the second season.
