My name is Moritz Hess, a creative technologist focused on AI-driven workflows, with a background in high-end VFX and postproduction and a strong emphasis on visual quality and technical approaches. With over three years of professional experience at RECOM Film as a Compositing and FX Artist, I have developed a sharp eye for detail and a strong appreciation for teamwork and clear communication. My experience across both commercial and feature film productions allows me to reliably deliver high-quality visuals under tight deadlines.

My studies in Digital Media Design helped me to develop a strong sense for visual aesthetics beyond postproduction – including UX/UI design, web development, photography and visual storytelling. That cross-disciplinary perspective shapes how I approach my work and how I collaborate creatively with others.

I have a strong technical foundation and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies. A key focus of my current work is developing AI-driven workflows in ComfyUI for advanced image and video production, ranging from fully AI-generated imagery to integrating AI into established VFX pipelines to improve efficiency and flexibility without compromising artistic control. The primary goal is to ensure accurate and consistent product representation while expanding creative possibilities and streamlining production workflows.

Whether it’s FX simulations, developing and using AI workflows or creating the final composited image, I enjoy overcoming technical challenges to bring visually appealing images to life.
